Because we all need a personal brand...right?
As many designers know this can be one of the more challenging projects to take on. For starters, you're given only one, two or sometimes three characters to work with. Next, you try to figure out a way for those characters to organically fit together, while remaining legible and in the correct order. Lastly, you hope that your concept is unique enough to not resemble anything that currently exists. Not to mention the fact that branding yourself can just seem challenging, strange, arrogant...or just easy to second guess and put on the back-burner.
With that said, creating a personal brand is something that I found to be long overdue and I wanted to create a brand that felt similar to the type of work I usually create. After a couple swings and misses, I came up with the concept you see here. In my opinion, the interlocking "W" and "T" work well together and inline stroke gives the logo a bit of a retro/timeless vibe. Also, I may plan to adjust the color scheme of the logo to fit the color scheme of upcoming projects but will stick with black/white color combo for now.
