HOVER
Architectural Visualization Challenge II
HOVER was the 2nd ArchViz Challenge I launched on my blog with the primary goal being to address the state of HOVER in architectural design, visualizing it with full freedom in the creation of the environment.
I created the following graphical elements to promote the challenge and support various publication during and after it is over.

The main inspiration for the HOVER challenge theme and the HERO image was the Students Center at Haifa University, Israel by Chyutin Architects which I worked during 2002-2005.
A concept image I did during the design phase, 2002-2005 at Chyutin Architects
I've also built a modular kit of structural elements from which one can design his building. I used this kit to create the second hover image.
This aspect of modularity also got into the graphics in the form of the squares grid.
I aimed for a logo that is abstract and conveys the architectural concept of hovering.
I used this as a badge and so added the word "HOVER" to it, but it was made so it is distinctive enough without text as well.
Below is the winning image by Benjamin Brosdau with the HOVER Logo being used as the credit title. Here is a link to the Making of HOVER “Lake House” by Benjamin Brosdau And an Interview with Benjamin Brosdau.
To help get things started and specifically in context of the concept for the challenge, I've made this sketches to be used in the first days of the challenge... as one possible idea.
And the various looks for the blog homepage and challenge pages.
Thanks for watching, and take a look at VENICE / CITYLIFE where I took a different approach to promoting a challenge.
