I think of this this photography project as a way for me to capture various cityscapes of my favorite southern cities and the change they are going through on a daily basis, but still able to keep some things the same. Moving here from the west coast of southern California we always had the impression that the south was slow and not very much changes from day to day. But after living in Atlanta and visiting New Orleans and Baton Rouge multiple times, it has shown me not only is there a lot going on, but the growth and the change to each of these cities is amazing. Being a film student, I have filmed various short films on these cities which captures the changes in motion, but taking still photos have given me a new appreciation for images that I’m capturing.
