This project is a conceptual design for Liverpool Football Club. The idea is to create a new Instagram account, independent of the club's current main account, that is dedicated for use as an advent calendar around the festive period.
The design makes use of Instagram's 'multi-photo' feature, allowing the overall impression of the account to appear uniform and co-ordinated with different content behind each 'door'. The 'swipe left to open' instruction mimics that of a traditional, tangible advent calendar and keeps the content hidden from plain sight.
The purpose of an independent account like this could be focused on driving intense engagement around the club for a short period of time in the lead-up to Christmas. Each day would present the opportunity to provide something new for the fans such as behind-the-scenes content, retail discount codes or giveaway competitions that would give followers the incentive to actively engage with the account.
