One of the things I'm enticed by when I'm browsing in a bookstore is the colourful array of beautiful cookbooks that are always prominently displayed. I don't even have a particular interest in cooking, but the design of these books is so appealing to the senses, with stunning photography, attractive typography, and premium finishes that make the finished piece a gorgeous object that can be appreciated even if one never attempts one of the recipes within. This is another of my personal projects, playing with a fun design for a cookbook that is clearly not focused on healthy eating! I wanted this to be a book of desserts that didn't shy away from amping up the sweetness, so I decided to really own that candy pink, contrasted nicely with a pop of mint and complemented with a very on-trend monoline script typeface.
