I was in research session on Monday, August 21 to collect video, audio, writing, etc. of my pool-side experience of the totality of the solar eclipse. I created a video displaying the shadow affecting the visibility of the water, audio of animals and insects changing their tune to the eclipse, and the temperature fluctuation sitting center attention moving constantly with time. 

I then made an installation / experiential design that incorporated projection of my video into a cardboard box to represent the "DIY solar eclipse viewer" that a lot of interactors favored. The location of the box was between two walls and when hung, it was a big enough space for at least one interactor to stand in front of. I also placed a speaker on the wall behind the viewer's head, to get an all-around experience. Chlorine powder was placed inside the box and was sprayed with sunscreen so that sight, smell, and sound were all optimized in the design of my eclipse experience.
