AN ONGOING HISTORY SINCE 1870

The new Acerbis monograph includes the entire collection of products, but also tells a story of contemporary design, portraying a living history that begins far in the past and arrives at today unceasingly renewing itself, with one hand holding onto its roots and the other reaching toward the future.
The typographic style, the balanced use of two-tone color schemes and iconographic elements were utilized to satisfy the company’s need to provide a strong connection with its place among the finest Italian design traditions and to highlight the brand’s historical and cultural value.

The hardcover is bound and covered with Buckram canvas, with silver silkscreen printing, and distinguished by a central hole. The synergy between the hole, the color of the endpaper and the silkscreen printing recreate the symbol of the Acerbis brand when the volume is closed.
The monograph opens with an introduction created on uncoated paper, including a timeline that outlines the most important stages in the company’s history, collaborations with designers, awards and international accolades, enriched by two monothematic essays with photographs, technical drawings and project sketches taken from the company’s historical archives.
The collection tells its story through an iconographic arrangement, designed with a brief index of the range, which marks each product sheet at the beginning and the end, with a final technical overview page providing the main information on the dimensions, materials and finishes available for each individual piece.
