Mirage is an interactive lamp that provides various visual experiences through optical illusions and virtual images generated by light.
This semicircular lamp consists of a light aluminum frame, a clear acrylic, and a gyro sensor-equipped lighting element. In the center of a light aluminum frame, there is a cylindrical weight, which holds the center and fixes the tilt. Inside the clear acrylic, there is a lenticular film, which refracts the light source to create an optical illusion of 3d shape. Also, when a spectator moves or physically tilts the Mirage, a change in perspective can create an optical illusion, which provides a new visual experience for the spectator. The Mirage can detect tilt by gyro sensors in the lighting element, which creates a glittering light when it is horizontal, and it creates a 3d shape light that pours like a wave when it tilts.
The Mirage installed in the middle of the dark exhibition hall becomes a center point by light in the space and naturally leads the spectators to the Mirage. The spectators concentrate on the 'optical illusion' image by the lenticular film, as if they are attracted to the image of the 'optical illusion' of the mirage.
알루미늄 프레임의 가운데에 위치한 원통형의 무게추는 Mirage의 중심을 잡아주고 기울기를 고정해주는 역할을 한다. 조명부를 감싸는 투명한 아크릴의 내부에는 렌티큘러 필름이 부착되어 있으며, 이는 광원을 굴절시켜 입체적인 광상을 만들어 낸다. Mirage는 조명 소자에 장착된 자이로센서에 의해 기울기를 감지할 수 있으며, 수평일때는 반짝거리는 빛을 만들어내다가 기울어지면 입체적인 광상들을 쏟아 내며 푸른 빛의 물결처럼 일렁이는 양감을 창조해낸다.
