El pasado 8 de marzo miles de personas se echaron a las calles de Madrid para reivindicar la igualdad y los derechos de las mujeres en una convocatoria sin precedentes.
Esta es la crónica visual de una jornada emocionante para todas.
Last Thursday, thousands of Spanish women went on a strike and took the streets to protest against chauvinism and to vindicate women rights. It was a historic date. This is how I lived it.

· Morning rally, LEGAZPI
Mujeres huelguistas se reúnen en Legazpi, frente a Matadero para iniciar las primeras concentraciones y organizar la manifestación de la tarde.
Strikers gather at Matadero (cultural centre at the South of Madrid) to start the first rallies and to organise the evening demonstration.

En Eva (Espacio Vecinal de Arganzuela), nosotras paramos. Ellos recogen la mesa, cuidan a los niños, preparan el almuerzo. Que no se quede en un día.
Today it is the men who take care of the children, who set the table and prepare lunch.
The value of housework, usually assumed by women, is also vindicated today.

· THE DEMONSTRATION

· Cibeles
Tras un día con la cámara a cuestas, el dolor de espalda empezó a dejarse notar. Cibeles fue el final de la manifestación para mí. Una diosa morada para despedir un día increíble.
After all the day marching, I had to leave the demonstration at Cibeles (although the flow of people reached up to Plaza de España). A purple Goddess was the perfect way to end this incredible day.
