Lungworm is quickly spreading due to a 50% increase in the snail population since 2012. According to the Royal Horticultural Society, it is estimated that a typical British garden can home up to 20,000 snails at one time. Homeowners are noticing this, with the sales of snail prevention products increasing 200% from 2012. Lungworm live in internal organs causing bleeding, failure and even death. No dog makes a full recovery.
After submission, I felt the design had a lot of potential to be improved. I updated the body considering the manufacturing process and reduced the set-up time by removing the wall-mounted feature. A lot of inspiration was taken from Omlet who design pet products in the UK.
