The World Research Institute launched Initiative 20x20, a campaign with a mission to restore twenty million hectares of land to its natural state in Latin America and the Caribbean by the year 2020. Two poster campaign directions are designed that support WRI’s goal to tackle deforestation. The first direction is a hand stamp in the shape of a tree top and finger-painted trunks that connect nature to mankind as well as representing the required physical labor. This direction encourages humans to empathize with trees and nature as a whole. The second direction is a ‘challenge accepted’ playful approach, such as the tree ring maze, bandaids to attach the trees together, and a loading game bar.
