Ocean Conservation project

Ocean Conservation
The ocean makes up over 70 percent of the Earth’s surface and contains over one million known species of animals and plants that live there. Although, many species of animals are at risk of endangerment or even extinction. The main reason for our diminishing marine wildlife is us. Humans are the main cause of several species at risk of extinction and this is due to; overfishing, pollution and the destruction of natural habitats and environments. Through National Geographic (just as a concept), I will be helping to promote and help teach people about the ocean and the endangered species of marine life that reside there.
My aim is make people more aware of the damage that us as humans are causing to our oceans and the effect it is having on specific species and their environments. I would also like to inform the reader on how they can help prevent the extinction of endangered animals and help them realise what although we are the cause, we can be the solution.

My project will involve researching into endangered species of marine wildlife and creating an informative concertina fold that expands into an aquarium that informs the reader about what species are most endangered, why they are endangered and how we can prevent it.
