I was asked by NQOnline (Newfoundland Quarterly) to create an image to accompany a feature story on their online blog. Editorial illustration is something I love, so I jumped at the opportunity. This was a really fun project because they gave me creative license to run with any idea I had.
The story is very light-hearted and a bit comical, so I wanted to reflect that in the illustration. I decided to go with a spread or collage of objects mentioned in the story. I felt that the randomness of would create curiosity and wonder on about the story. I imagine a viewer wondering "What connects a 90s troll to a romance novel? Why the bingo cards".
