DEE CRITIQUE 2: 'SHY'

Inspiration taken from physical mannerisms of the concept 'shy' - lack of eye contact; head in hands; anxious
Early concepts explore different forms that capture the emotion ranging from abstract to more literal forms. Early experimentation with colours and textures - purposely 'bland' and 'subtle' so as not to draw attention to the speaker.
Refined concept is small in size to better blend in with the room's decour. Contrast to this the speaker will hand from the centre of the ceiling forcing the speaker to become the main focal point of the room triggering the emotion 'shy'. A red LED ring surrounds the head of the speaker that will turn on when the sound is switched on - this will simulate a person's face flushing/going red in the face when exposed to social anxiety. 'Arms' partially cover the head of the speaker which will incur a muffled sound - this simulates how a shy person might interact with others in a social environment ie wanting to speak but not having the confidence to.
