Re-Grouping Series:
‘Re-Grouping’ explores a series of contemporary, abstract and landscape paintings to address a controversial issue on the perception of grouping or categorising dimensions.
Whether thinking of a country as a grouping or the world as a grouping, our perception and the actions we make differ. By questioning the relationship between objects, we question their impacts on perception in modern societies. In testing the unconscious grouping of objects, we test the fixed ideas we have and find new relationships and structures. By experimenting with borderlines, materials and textures, we can play with a new grouping of 2nd & 3rd dimensions. When groupings change, perceptions change.
