SEAMS PERFECT
by Jacob R. Buwalda
The goal of this museum exhibition is to educate each attendee on the effects of both fast fashion and slow fashion. The exhibit is going to essentially function in two parts. Upon entering you are presented with Fast Fashion and all that it entails. The process graphic shows how Fast Fashion works and what takes place both here in the states and overseas. The narrative literature handout contains more educational information where the attendee can reference the process graphic but also learn more such as the social and environmental effects of Fast Fashion. After this, the attendee will be presented with the process of slow fashion and its positive effects. By presenting the problem of Fast Fashion first, Seams Perfect gives a solution to said problem by not only educating on Fair Trade ways of life, but giving resources to go out and support those companies. Fast Fashion is a problem, and Seams Perfect gives you the solution.
