Loudoun United Football Club Logo Design

I was so excited to work on this logo for DC United's new affiliate team in the USL. The DC United team asked for something youthful and dynamic that could comfortably sit beside the DC team's iconic logo and branding.  

I wanted to include elements in the brand that could be used together and apart. 

A strong sans-serif type available via typekit was the right choice for this brand. It's dynamic and strong like DC United's custom type, but was a more practical option for the new team as they get started with branding from the ground up. 

I went through many variations of this logo during the design process. Here's my favorite from the group that weren't chosen! I like the ability to use this as a single color stamp.
