Branding for the housing platform ROOM. 
ROOM. Your best move.

ROOM is the new student housing platform in the Netherlands. For many students, finding a space that suits your needs and budget is not easy. The housing market for students is often unclear, overcrowded, inflexible and sometimes downright dishonest. ROOM wants to compete with commercial parties and with that offer fair prices for rooms. With an initial offer of 17,000 student housing is with the launch on January 2 one of the largest providers in this sector. ROOM has the ambition to roll out the student housing offer internationally over the coming years.

The question
The question was to position ROOM, to come up with a catchy name and thereby develop a strong brand identity that fits the target group. One of the requirements was that in addition to Dutch students, the growing number of international students who can receive the Netherlands should be logical and easy to remember.
The target group has the need for speed, transparency, overview and convenience. ROOM must therefore be functional and personal. Being close to, but above all, being of practical value. With ROOM we have come up with a strong name that not only stands for a literal 'room', but also for 'space' to develop yourself. 



Online Platform
In the end ROOM is mainly about practicality. Once we have encouraged a student to work with ROOM to find a suitable living space, it is logical to look on the website. The website developed by Zig Websoftware is visually enhanced by the communication layer that we have developed at Today. A simple but clear collaboration ensures the perfect balance between functionality and persuasiveness.
