A tribute to the diversity of nature

The Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum in Düsseldorf is hybrid between a zoo and a natural history museum. It houses both live animals and fossils to be discovered and explored. To celebrate the inexhaustible variety of shapes and forms found in nature, we developed a unique typeface whose visual language is directly inspired by the animal world.
A flexible, typographic system

The typeface was elaborated in three, interchangeably combined cuts. Thus, a wide range of animal expressions can be reflected in each word – from rigid to dead, or from lively to playful.
From the museum to the streets

For the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum’s grand opening campaign, typographic illustrations of both animals and fossils were developed to match the characteristic style of the typeface.
