The bearded one
This was done as a study of values and a look into facial expression of an aged man.
The final rendering
Fixing values
Adding some lightness and trying to create a wide value range with the addition of white pigment.
Establishing the dark tones that would go along way to determine the contrast and the look and feel of the painting.
The line work
This is one of the most important part of this painting as it helped me to create a framework or wire frame to which i would build and develop upon.
