Hirschkäfer Distillery
Hirschkäfer, is a distillery located in the south of Germany, the black forest, home to the stag beetle which is where the name of the company was derived from. The distillery creates traditional cherry schnapps which are also found in the black forest.
The overall idea was to create a modern schnapps bottle, using a petrol blue, white and gold colour palette. The main element is a hand drawn stag beetle which is part of the logo and brand identity. In continuation, the logo uses a clean sans serif typeface which differentiates itself from the main illustration. A geometric pattern was created to contrast the organic hand done detailed illustrations at the front of the bottle, furthermore, by using a clear label it allows the viewer to see the patterning element at the back of the bottle.
