El Cantil fish market

The identity of the fish market "El cantil" is based on Gyotaku,
the traditional Japanese method of printing fish, a practice which dates back to the mid-1800s.
We decided to use this technique, because
there is nothing better that represents the quality of a market as its own product.

Chokusetsu-ho, or the direct style, is the most similar to the original Gyotaku methodology.

1.
The fish is cleaned, prepped, supported, and then inked.
2.
At this point, dampened Washi (“rice” paper ) is applied to the fish,
and an image is created by careful hand rubbing or pressing.
After several proofs with different types of seafood,
we had enough material to develop the brand
