passRADIO is an artistic installation built from the thoracic radiography that the non communitarian immigrants have to present to the French sanitarian authorities (ANAEM) in order to get a temporary resident visa.
This thoracic radiography unites and represents symbolically a whole group of people travelling for many reasons from their hometown to France. This installation has wanted to depict this process of entering a foreign territory. That process will be exemplified through the artistic use of the thoracic radiography belonging to the non communitarian immigrants living in Paris.passRadio seeks to be a playful and instructive installation.
Of course, this project wants to create a debate around the theme of non communitarian immigration, but it also desires to put forward the strange aspects of the process of entering France. The name of the project passRadio is a hint to the Parisian Carte NaviGO (ticket to have an unlimited access to public transportation). As we use the Carte NaviGO to move freely in Paris, passRadio is the access ticket and justification of the non communitarian right to be in France. What distinguishes however the Carte NaviGO from the passRadio is that in the latest there is no identification photo of its owner, but a snap of his lungs.
