Being(s) In My Dreams
Watercolor, gouache, ink and graphite on paper, 2016

When I’m traveling through my dreams, sometimes I see a lot of objects and people. Some of them seem strangely familiar but suspiciously bizarre at the same time. I immediately feel that some of them are not mere inventions but real beings from other dimensions trying to trick me or take me to remote worlds. If they sense that I’m lucid and aware that I’m dreaming, they’ll instantly feel attracted by my energy, so I try not to be noticed and avoid looking them in the eyes. Thus, I can manage to keep my dreaming attention and wander smoothly through the realm of dreams, observing without being observed. If I look them in the eyes, they will surely chase me and I’ll wake up in seconds.

Created for MIDNIGHT: Dreams and the Subconscious exhibition at LIGHT GREY ART LAB.
