GREATVINE
Greatvine is a packaging concept demonstrating how renewable material can potentially replace plastic for packaged produce such as cherry tomatoes and strawberries.
The holes in the packaging allow for viewing the freshness of the product and the lid features an innovative locking mechanism that gives the ability to open and reseal the packaging without damage, allowing for further inspection of the produce. The holes also play a role in the evaporation of moisture which reduces the chance of mould and allows the produce to be washed and drained within the container.
The graphic design has been created using laser etching which removes the top layer of the material revealing the brown layer underneath, therefore it has been created without the use of any ink.
The packaging is made with Stora Enso's CKB material.
