The Lamp Project was a project meant to exercise and perfect the design process from ideation to final product. 

Initial sketches for the shape of the lamp

The lamp began as a 10 foot piece of poplar, cut into sections and glued together. The block was then turned on a lathe to get the shape of the lamp, cut in half, and thermoformed with polystyrene plastic. 

After thermoforming both sides, they were joined and shaped using a bonding epoxy, primed, and painted.
