For the sake of the musical geography of rock, where to locate the New Yorkers Endless Boogie? No blues, no stoner, no hard? In a supposed kraut southern rock, as they suggested four years ago? Now, the unusual charm of the band that, led by Paul Major, has been making music since 1997, does not require the help of the categories. Put another way, when it comes to identifying what Endless Boogie does, they are always insufficient, if not useless. At the last moment, this quartet, which had in Stephen Malkmus an improbable godfather, pulls the rug under our feet, brings doubt or uncertainty in its most pleasant sense. After all, how to classify what points to gut and heart? J.M.

For this poster I though it could work something more detailed, more "baroque", as they´re music is very layered, the web is very dense. At the same time let my sense of humor blend with theirs. The nickname "Top dollar", for Tom Major took me immediately to use the iconic one dollar bill. Coming from New York I didn´t even think, just found myself portraying one plan from David Lynch´s Twin Peaks, The Return, for the vibe killing that did happen in that spot, if you know what I mean!
