The goal of this projet was the following :
Design a lamp that's composed only of the following elements
- lamp-shade built out of propylene sheet(s)
- aluminium rod
- light cord
- base made by plastic thermoforming or out a of foam block
The idea behind the lamp-shade design was to use the flexible properties of the plastic to create tension on a flat disk thus twisting it to create a contorted shape.
The simple base has three notches just under the places where the disk has a downward curve to make it seem as thought he deformation is repercuted on the base.
