Starting from the bees-decline due to climate change, industrial agriculture and parasites/pathogens, Sottozero decided to develop a project to make people aware of the consequences of their behaviour.
The installation Be(e)smart wants to show a world where the only way to have flowers is by artificial pollination. In our installation the humans are the ones acting like bees, pollinating by moving the cane-shaped lights from where seeds are released to then find fertile soil underneath.
