The Idea
When one of my favorite clients came to me with a need to update their current logo I was excited to see what I came up with. I knew that I wanted to keep the same letters and words but convey the basic idea in a more modern and cutting edge way.
The Sketches
After several rough sketches, I was able to narrow down the concept to two ideas. One being based off a lighting bolt, representing kinetic power. The second a less "graffiti style" more of a modern, harsh angles with no subtle curves. Something you would see on a jet fighter.
The Vectors
After cleaning up the rough sketches, I outlined the vectors and cleaned up and curves or angles in Illustrator.
The Colors
Having the completed vectors, I was then able to play with some color options.
The Mock-ups
To convey the message to the client, I always like to incorporate the completed logo in some relate mock-ups.
The Final Logo
In the end, the client decided to go with a more traditional logo. I ended up modifying some text and cleaning up some angles. Although we didn't end up using these logos, a boy can dream :).
