For this project i was randomly paired with 2 Photography students to collaborate on the design of a professional, clean, attractive Magazine cover and cover story. As the designer, I had to carry out the duties of both art direction and production design. The first step was to collaborate with the photography students on photography direction, casting and setup, logistics and technical specs. Then, i had use the photo assets to design and layout the story in InDesign. The whole project had to be completed in 3 days.

The genre of magazine was randomly assigned. So me and the photography students were required to gather inspiration by visiting a local magazine stand, the library and book stores. To seek out existing magazines in the same genre to study their photo styles and subjects, their choices of typography and colours, and overall page layout.
