Bathroom signage design for AKV|St.Joost new Master building in 's-Hertogenbosch. As an old Post.nl factory and now an international and artistic centre, bathrooms signage and organization need to deal with gender identification and accessibility issues.
Rather than find utopic or naive solutions, mostly inapplicable because of structural limitations and different opinions among students and tutors, bathroom's doors are used as canvas to address those problematics starting a discussion about the facilities that surround us every day.
There are eight different bathroom doors in the Master building (four men bathrooms, four women) and each door has its unique artwork, addressing every time different social or structural problems.
