The Winder lamp is made out of two paper sections and string. The layout is based on the winding machine mechanism, a knitting tool for wrapping string onto a spool.

The two sections are connected into a vertical axis so that the string can be rotated on to them. In addition to that the way that the two paper sections are connected makes it possible for the electric cord to "hide" inside them making the whole construction of the lamp steady and simple.
