Brookside Optical is a glasses store in Kansas City, Kansas. When doing research on the company and looking at how to update the brand so that it reflects the product, I came up with the brand code: "visual avant-garde." "Visual avant-garde" represents the store's uniqueness among their competitors. I chose this phrase because the store has the most colorful, playful and exciting selection of eyewear in the Midwest. From conservative to edgy styles, Brookside Optical has frames for everyone.
Since their patterns, styles, colors and lenses are custom always changing, the new identity and logo that has been created represents such. The "b" and "d" from "brookside" come apart and work as an icon within the brand that resembles a pair of glasses. All of the patterns and colors work interchangeably.
