The work was created for the exhibition in the Museum of Velikoanadolsky Forest within the project of the group DE-NE-DE. This forest was founded in 1834-1845 by a graduate of the St. Petersburg Forest Institute, the lieutenant of the Forestry Corps, V. Graff, who was the first to prove the possibility of creating artificial forests in a bare, non-shallow steppe.
For the artist, the beauty of the history of Velikoanadolsky Forest creation lies in the visionariness of its creator. What is the percentage of professionalism / miracle in creating a forest in the steppe zone? How can anybody dare to do this? What could be today at this place, if one person had not decided to found a forest nearly two centuries ago? A series of stereotypes –reflection, which combines modern forest and fantasies on the topic of its absence.
