Next in my 3D Alphabet series... From Thin Air: R is for Rocket. Two 2D images used for the background (Martian sunset, bottom/foreground, with the rover Curiosity; the sky is from NASA, a dwarf star). The letter and rocket created from flat shapes and textures, with the NASA image providing the image-based light reflecting on the surfaces. One infinite light and two point lights, one of which is inside the rocket. Completed with a lens flare, some exhaust, dodge and burning, and a high-pass merged layer.
