A series of watercolour illustrations for The MONOCLE Travel Guide (my 13th guide) for Kyoto.
Of all the 13 guides I did for Monocle, this is the first time I painted another language I'm not familiar with. I was quite worried to make a mistake as I heard that even a wrong stroke can change the meaning of a word.
