- The Tyrell pyramid is one of the more iconic features of the Blade Runner films, and as such I wanted that to be the main focus of the render. I have merged elements of both Ridley Scott's Original Blade runner and Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 by contrasting a very dark and moody city and Pyramid with super vibrant areas of the city -
- Work in progress close ups - here you can see how the bump maps / displacement maps help create the city and the textures for the Tyrell Pyramid - Blender's noise denoising feature is still a work in progress, as to why some elements of this close up are a little glitchy -
- This clay model really shows how important the lighting and the bump maps are to the scene, without them the scene looks really undetailed -
- Progression of the model - This render put a massive strain on my system, maxing out the memory limit of my GTX 970 and forcing me to render on my 7700k, resulting in a render time of 10 Hours! -
