Obesity Campaign
Obesity is a growing issue in the UK. This campaign aims to both prevent and resolve the issue of childhood obesity by teaching both children and their parents the importance of a healthy, balanced diet and encouraging regular physical activity in a fun and playful manner. There are six main characters, each one representing a food group and promoting a form of physical activity. The campaign will consist of a 30 second animated public information film, a website providing information and support to families, and an interactive element in the form of a printed poster and an app.
Chris Carbs: Represents carbohydrates and cardiovascular exercise.
Dairy Dan and Bulk: Represent dairy and protein respectively. Dan focuses on healthy eating, whereas Bulk is into strengthening exercises.
Aubrey the Strawberry and Bradley Broccoli: Twins, representing fruit and vegetables respectively. They focus on balance and flexibility.
Dr. Sugar: Sugar represents ‘free sugars’, the kind of sugar we eat too much of. She's a scientist and can sometimes get a little carried away with her experiments.

Poster/planner for the fridge, allowing children and parents to track progress and plan healthy meals and a sample of achievement stickers that can be collected and stuck onto the poster, encouraging children to stick to their plans and become healthier:
