Rapid world growth and urbanization is not allowing cities to adapt and provide for their inhabitants. City village affect almost all living conditions and communities.
高速的城市发展使得城市无法再去接纳并且提供给居住者提供舒适的住所。城中村成为了一个缓冲体，但是其中的生活质量和居住环境并不尽如人意。有人认为城中村是犯罪的温床，也有人认为城中村是一个自给自足的社区。而作为建筑师，我们认为城中村或许是一个城市发挥发展的新契机与范例。
Actually, those squatter settlements have told us a interesting answer about how to develop a city, a simple building can grow into a complex building just like plants. A middle-class family live reasonably well in around 80 square meters, but when there's no money 40 square meters is enough. So government just need to use half of money to build a "shelf" and some houses(40 square meters) in it, and other place can be built by house owners.
城中村其实是建筑界中的一个最能反应新城代谢理论的建筑类型，简单的建筑可以逐步生长成为一个复杂的建筑体。一个中产阶级家庭其实只用使用40平米的空间就可以满足居住需求(一半的好房子），所以当政府建造社会住宅时，可以像在货架上插盒子一样，先建造40平米的基本居住单元，然后根据居民需要再继续插入其余生活配套单元，从而在降低前期建造成本的同时，可以让社会住宅像一个有机生物一样自由合理的生长。从而达到政府和居住者双赢的局面。
