Walker Museum Addition/ Inspired by Baldessari

The goal of this project was to analyze an artist, understand his/her principles and way of thinking and then apply those principles to the design of a small structure. The artist that I chose to analyze was Baldessari and it was his humorous style that I tried to translate in the small structure I designed.

The site was in the open field of the Walker Art Center, in Minneapolis. Thus, the structure was influenced both by its context and by the artist. The program included areas of sitting and relaxing, a long corridor for walking and elevated areas where people could enjoy specific views of the open field and the Walker building.
