I am a co-director of the female artist collective Art Girl Army, an international network that provides resources, hosts events, generates networking opportunities, and fosters genuine community among young women & non-binary individuals with creative careers. In addition to directorial responsibilities, I design collateral the group's digital presence, in-person events, merchandise and more.
AGA Holiday Party
The AGA Holiday Party is an annual experience for non-members to celebrate the artistry of AGA's members through a public, end-of-year event. Our team of co-directors facilitates an event full of music, dancing, visual art, mingling, and more. I crafted all printed materials, digital promotion, and assisted with hands-on decoration for our 2016 end-of-year celebration. Probably one of the highlights of my design career was when Constance Wu responded to a picture of our drinks list on Instagram and followed back our account.
AGA Drink & Draw
The inaugural AGA Drink & Draw was an event I spearheaded in April 2017. I wanted to create an opportunity for creative women & non-binary individuals to practice figure drawing in a safe space, devoid of judgment and open to experimentation. The results were inspiring and amazing; almost none of the participants had figure drawing experience and came to the event as a means to try something new. I designed the flyer, promoted the event through Instagram & Facebook, and facilitated the Drink & Draw with the help of two of AGA's co-directors and an incredibly kind volunteer who let us use her apartment for the event.
