BURMA BISTRO logo and visual identity

Burma is often referred to as a land that time forgot. Despite its proximity to China, India and Thailand, most are rarely aware of its whereabouts, let alone its culinary roots. Burma Bistro is born out of the desire to expand current perception of Burmese food on the international front. It is a natural evolution of traditional Burmese cuisines infused with global culinary influences that represent modern day Burma.
Housed inside the magnificent 19th century colonial building, Burma Bistro is lovingly decorated with antiques and ancient furnishings. Stepping into our Bistro will create a world of difference between the bustling commercial center of downtown Yangon and the bygone era of simple elegance where the calmness yet unsurpassed refinement alone will be refreshing enough for our customers to unwind in while the world passes by.
Through authentic home-style cooking, Burma Bistro hopes to revive the timeless recipes of the past and incorporate them to the country's present. Just as how a salad bowl isn't complete without the specific ingredients that make it up, we believe that the intricate nature of the Burmese culture could not be fully experienced without having tried our various specialties. Enjoy the complex culinary mosaic of Burmese regional dishes with fresh ingredients while witnessing the charm and cordiality of our servers.
