When building my dating app prototype, I found that information about progress and time of matching rounds is helpful, but only needed on a need-to-know basis. 

Building a parallax top navbar (see #18 Parallax Navbar) not only looks cool and helps the user to orientate, but it also creates space for interactive centered navbar elements, thus allowing more space for images.
