Cut A Tree, Kill A Life

Cut A Tree, Kill A Life
Do you know that cutting down a tree in Malaysia
may bring harm to the wildlife?
This is an internship project that I received from Y&R Malaysia when I started my first day of intern. This project reminds the society that deforestation can lead to extinction of the wildlife. This project featured few local animals that are facing extinction soon such as the Malayan Tapir, Sumatran Rhino, hornbill and aquatic animals. Besides, it also encouraged the society to make donations in order to preserve the wildlife from extinction.

This initiative project during my internship was submitted for advertising competitions like Cannes Lions 2015 and successfully won bronze for design category, and so do other awards such as Clio Awards 2015, Spikes Asia 2015 and Ad Star 2015.
My role in this project is a typographer and designer. I helped with the blood flow crafting and minor adjustment
on the illustrations.

My main contribution in this project is the typography. All the wordings were crafted by me through my handwriting and arranged based on the space available. The purpose of using handwriting style is to create a raw wood carving type that suits the entire project.
These designs were later brought to studio to be silk screened before submitting entries for competition.
