Erik Spiekermann
Typography and Magazine spread University project
I was tasked with designing magazine spreads using Erik Spiekermann's imagery and bodycopy. The layout and typography was important to this project to make sure it reflects the style of Erik Speikermann himself.
I started this project by first researching Erik Spiekermann's style and also looking for inspiration before moving onto scamping possible layouts.
Scamps and sketches of my 3 and 6 column grid layout. Exploring the layout and colours used in Erik Spiekermanns's work. I organised the layout of my header, subtitle, body copy an imagery to create magazine spreads that reflect Erik Spiekermann's style.
