A map of the Zillertal Arena ski area. Traditional ski maps focus more on mountains and scenery, which is of little use to a skier who's familiar with the area. I shift the focus towards slopes while accentuating ski lifts so that both are easy identifiable at a glance.

I've printed this map on 'plastic' paper, so that it's water and tear-resistant, and it survived the entire week without problems.

Around the actual map I drew triangles of the same color, after which I randomized their opacity. I put some glow around the map to give it a sense of depth.

This is actually the second map I've made in this style. It's an improvement over the first, which could've benefited from more space in between the elements. I've also put a lot of work into the direction of the slopes in the second map (so that they mostly point down), which helps identify the slope direction more easily.
