From a concern to understand the behavior and interaction of some ceramic materials, using the Saggar firing technique, Enclose emerge.
The attractiveness of Saggar is the fusion of earth, fire and organic material. It takes fuel (organic and natural waste materials), to be able to give color-texture-patterns to the surface of any ceramic piece instead of using chemical glazes. [The first approach I had with glazes wasn’t very pleasant].
Something is encapsulated in my mugs when the elements interact, and the alchemy resulting from the fire, will make each piece have a spontaneous, natural and unrepeatable decoration. Substantial factor in my creative process.
