The book is about six separate stories all related in someway to the 1995 earthquake in Kobe, Japan. 

The movie making process was first creating the collages using different japanese art styles reference (such as woodblock prints, manga, calligraphy, drawings...) and then printing them and cutting them for stop motion technique.
