Pre Digital Renderings

Some old school concept renderings done in the days before my Wacom tablet. These were primarily produced for architectural or engineering clients, and were typically produced using marker, pastel, water colour and coloured pencil. Don't know how I got by without the 'undo' button…
Airbrush and water colour architectural rendering. The client, bless them, decided to change the colour of the brick and cement render AFTER I had finished the airbrushing. Still got the nervous tick from having to re-mask this one.
Marker, pastel and coloured pencil architectural rendering. Almost drove a man to drink rendering all those white lane markers with white gouache and a ruling pen.
Marker, pastel and coloured pencil architectural rendering. Client insisted that the 'BIG M' be featured at bottom right (apparently this would help attract potential tenants to this commercial centre - presumably they were after obesity specialists and weight loss centres).
Marker, pastel and coloured pencil architectural rendering
Marker, pastel and coloured pencil concept rendering. One of many variations of a theme for the then new Westrail colour livery.
Marker, pastel and coloured pencil concept rendering. Australian rail fabrication company were pitching to revamp the Hong Kong light rail vehicles.
Marker, pastel and coloured pencil concept rendering. VIsualisation of a mining maintenance trailer concept for a Hunter Valley (Australia) based engineering company.
Coloured pencil and pen on coloured paper. Visualisation for a company who produced submersible vehicles for military and industrial uses.
